WHO ARE WE?

PURPOSE+PRIORITIES

The church was started in the mid 1957 as a joint enterprise from several local churches.  The hope has always been to be a blessing to the people of Swarcliffe through pratical means and spiritual guidance. Over the years we have run youth groups and jobs clubs, community lunches and ....

The members of our church are mostly made up from people who live locally in Swarcliffe, Seacroft and Crossgates.

We have a big heart for East Leeds and want everyone who liv es here to do well.

Just recently we welcomed our new Pastor - Revd Richard Burwell.

More to come...

“Swarcliffe Streams”  Everything will live wherever the water flows.

We are here as a beacon of hope and planted securely in this community reflecting the joy and peace of Jesus.  We are here to reveal the goodness of God made known through Jesus and we do this through joyful expressions of praise and worship, and through practical and compassionate expressions of care and kindness and through relevant teaching. Our intention is to bring wholeness through the healing presence of God to everyone who wishes to explore this with us as we learn together about the ways God has planned for life to work well in community. Come as you are, we welcome you to journey with us as we depend on the power He makes available and as we trust our lives in His care.

We are excited about this new season in the life of the church and hope to find new ways to be a blessing to the estate, as we continue to offer spiritual guidance and practical support through youth work, job clubs, community lunches, pamper parties and various other ways of showing Gods love and kindness.  You will find us warm and welcoming on a Sunday morning with uplifting songs of praise to God, lively and relevant talks and prayer that beleives God will change your life for the better.

We look forweard to saying hello.
